How your donation helps
We are an all volunteer organization without any paid staff. Your donations help to support our programs in forest, prairie, and lake stewardship, including restoration, research, tools, and supplies. Past support has funded research into the fern die-off, tools for invasive plant removal and restoration, GPS and a digital microscope to study hemlock decline and other needs. Donations have also supported our cultural stewardship and educational programs, including the Seward Park Centennial Celebration, publication of our brochures on the Japanese flowering cherry trees and other topics, and development costs for our website. Donations for the torii were directed to the Seattle Parks Foundation, our fiscal sponsor for that project, and were collected and distributed separately from general donations.
If you wish to donate to a specific project, we will try to accommodate your wishes if possible. Please e-mail us at sewardparkfriends@gmail.com to tell us if you want your donation to support a specific project.
